International standard and test method for motor efficiency
I. iec60034-30 single speed, cage three-phase induction motor energy efficiency classification (IE code)
In October 2008, iec 60034-30 was officially released by the international council of electricians, which uniformly divided the efficiency of various countries into IE1, IE2 and IE3. The standard applies as follows:
Rated voltage UN is not higher than 1000V;
Rated power PN: 0.75kw ~ 375kW;
Number of poles 2, 4, and 6
50 hz, 60 hz
The test methods of IE2 and IE3 efficiency are tested with low uncertainty
At present, nanyang explosion-proof motors can be supplied in batches with the efficiency of IE2 and IE3. The explosion-proof motors with the efficiency of IE4 will be supplied in batches in the near future.
American NEMA Premium efficiency indicator
U.S. law requires that electric motors entering the United States on December 19, 2010 (1hp-200hp) meet the NEMA Premium efficiency standard, which is the same as IE3 60Hz in iec60034-30.
At the same time, the 200HP ~ 500HP motor should meet the EPACT efficiency standard, which is the same as IE2 60Hz in iec60034-30.

Iii. The EC issued directive 2005/32/EC in 2009 to implement the ecological design requirements of the motor, which stipulates:
From June 16, 2011, the energy efficiency of the motor shall not be lower than that of IE2.
From January 1, 2015, the energy efficiency of 7.5kw-375kw motor shall not be lower than that of IE3.
From January 1, 2017, the energy efficiency of the 0.75kw-375kw motor shall not be lower than that of IE3.
Iv. China gb18613-2010 "energy efficiency limit value and energy efficiency grade of small and medium-sized three-phase asynchronous motors" revised version will take effect at the end of the year. The standard stipulates that:
From January 1, 2011, the energy efficiency of 0.75kw-375kw motor shall not be lower than level 3 of energy efficiency, equivalent to IE2 50Hz efficiency in iec60034-30.
From January 1, 2016, the energy efficiency of 0.75kw-375kw motor shall not be lower than level 2 of energy efficiency, equivalent to IE3 50Hz efficiency in iec60034-30.
